“Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live” – Dorothy Thompson

Fear is the greatest cause of inactivity and low level of productivity.

It has been scientifically proven that fear short-circuits the activities of the brain and draws all attention and mental energy to the source of the fear or concern. This means that no matter how talented and knowledgeable you are in your field, you will not succeed at it if you let fear overwhelm you.

Often times, people fail in exams simply because they were too nervous recall what they knew. The same happens in public speaking. If an expert is really nervous during a presentation, he/she will stutter through it, and look like an unprepared novice.

Fear is the number one enemy to living an inspired and productive life.

If you are going to succeed, you have to first of all deal with your fears. And the method is simple: “confront it!”

If you keep away from it, it will grow bigger will keep haunting you.

So today, outline all your fears; especially the fear of failure which has repeated prevented from attempting big things.

Write them out on a column, and then on the next column write the things you gain by defeating each of those fears: peace of mind, new experience, more money, etc. The next step is to face them. It is like confronting a bully. It may be brutal, but the result is sure: the fear goes away and you are free to succeed.

Try it today.
