Despite the looming changes to its shareholding structure, Nigeria’s most-innovative and customer-centric telecommunications company, Etisalat, has empowered its customers in Port Harcourt with the launch of its 4G (LTE) service in the city.
Port Harcourt has joined the growing list of Nigerian cities where millions of customers enjoy superfast Etisalat 4G service, which enables seamless streaming of high-definition videos, online shopping, entertainment, e-learning and superior quality experience. The other cities where Etisalat 4G LTE has been fully operational are Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and Kano.
As part of the launch, a team from Etisalat went on a roadshow, visiting some of the network’s corporate customers in Port Harcourt, such as Total Nigeria Plc, JBIS Integrated Resources Limited, First Independent Power Limited, Income Electrix, among others.
During the visit, the Director, Enterprise Segment, Etisalat Nigeria, Eric Uwaoma, stated that the launch of Etisalat 4G LTE has enabled corporations to transfer large amounts of data and communicate with their various locations easier, faster and seamlessly.
He said, “Now that Etisalat 4G LTE has been activated in Port Harcourt, our customers in the city can stream high-definition videos without buffering; transfer heavy files faster, do online transactions seamlessly, and do so much more with the internet.
“Etisalat 4G LTE is unique because unlike the experience of customers on other networks, Etisalat SIM cards are made 4G-ready. This means that our customers are able to connect to 4G without needing to go through a rigorous process, which includes a SIM swap. Also, Etisalat 4G LTE spectrum accommodates the widest range of devices, so that most of our customers do not need to purchase new devices in order to enjoy 4G LTE.”
Uwaoma added that the team was visiting Etisalat’s corporate customers in Port Harcourt to formally intimate them about the availability of Etisalat 4G LTE in the city and discuss ways it can help improve their business processes.
The Manager, Data Services Marketing, Etisalat Nigeria, Godswill Nnaji, who further highlighted the features of Etisalat 4G LTE, noted that it will help reduce the cost of doing business for Etisalat customers in Port Harcourt by enabling them to download and send documents faster and to save time on online transactions.
Nnaji said, “Etisalat 4G LTE is a significant improvement on 3G and Etisalat subscribers do not need a different price plan to enjoy the service. Once our customers connect to 4G on their devices, they will notice that their experience on the network has become a lot better.”
At each of the stops, the Etisalat team demonstrated the speed and efficiency of Etisalat 4G LTE and the customers asked questions and received answers.
